How to identify integra gsr oem axels?
How can you tell if a 94+ integra gsr driver and passenger side axels are OEM honda parts or aftermarket remanufactured? Is there a certain color to the two axels or special serial number on them to tell you there OEM? Also on the CV boot is there a serial number or any words printed on them to distinguish OEM. Bought some axels and wanted to make sure they are brand new OEM, but having my doubts because the seller is a scammer. Also both sides of each are firm when moving the cv joint expect for the driver side axel where the cv joint enters the intermediate shaft seems really loose easy to turn left and right compared to all the other ends of the cv joints, is that normal for a new axel? Any pics would be helpful or comments thanks for any help in advance
Usually if the axle is completely stock from Honda an orange ring is painted around the shaft on the passenger one and on the driver side one a blue stripe is painted on there. If it is aftermarket then usually the black paint on the shaft itself is missing and the boots are held on with an aftermarket boot straps.

usually an aftermarket or reman. will have a large boot strap on them that sticks up a small ammount. On OE parts this is flat. This joint of the strap can cause an interference or clearence problem with the steering knuckle sometimes.

Does anyone know if the stock boots say interparts on them? On the driver side axel both boots say interparts on them. Also the cv joint side that enters the hub does not have a rubber seal. I noticed the passenger side had a rubber seal that enters the hub. The passenger side is painted black with a blue stripe. But the driver side has the boots that say interparts and the shaft is not painted its a metal color and does not have a rubber seal. Trying to determine if the driver side axel is a aftermarket one. Can anyone verify from the description I just said seems like aftermarket axel. Thanks for any help.
it seems as though you have done some good investigative work.
