springs maintain the same height always.

adjustable springs can adjust the height of the vehicle by moving the spring perch up or down on the shock.

coilovers are a spring/shock combo designed to work hand in hand for the ultimate in suspension travel/dampening experience.

Sport Springs are the way to go in my opinion. They have a stiff ride but good for going over speed bumps and pot holes. Not much give if you have the ladies jumping on your car though.
