Polishing the Inake Manifold????
Reading the posts here, I went on a mission to find a y8 intake manifold.. and I did, bought it, and am waiting for it to be shipped... Now I thought why not increase the air flow a little more by polishing, if not porting... what do u guys think? any inexpensive way of getting this done before I swap it in? What do you guys recommend?

go for it. Buy a die grinder and some porting bits. Make sure you read up on what you're doing. You want the intake side of the head to stay a little rough so you get a better air/fuel mixture, but exhaust side you want smooth as possible. An easy thing to do is just gasket matching. Take your new intake manifold gasket and place over the manifold. Mark where you can see manifold overlapping the gasket and take that materiel off, as well as the runners.
