I need to get a locking gas cap, but which brand?
Once again i had **** luck with autozone. Got one from there, brand name called CST, after i lock it, its spose to spin freely, lol. What a joke, I can press on it and turn it off, lol

 

I got a metal stant one from the autopart store a while ago.. been using it for about 2-3 years w/o any problems.. I haven't tried pushing in on it and seeing if it'll come out.. but when its locked (tightened and clicks a few times) and you turn it.. all it does is turn... dunno if they still sell it...

hey man I just finished doing some maintenance on my car and washing my car and I thought I'd test out my gas cap to see if it will come out/unscrew if I push down on it while turning... it didn't.. it just spun.. I first tried unscrewing it it just turned.. then I pressed down on it.. still just spun... then I pressed hard/leaned my body on it while turning w/ my hand.. still wouldn't unscrew..

its a STANT brand and I bought it a few years ago so not sure if its still sold anymore.. but yeah just thought I'd let you know since I tested it out...
