Hey guys, I found a guy around here selling a 92cx that is red. Aparently he hit a curb dead on and damage was done to the front. It will need a new bumper at least and the hood should probably be replaced. Maybe the fenders, I forget. The wheels got pushed back, so I guess the control arm was bent? The motor runs good, it just had all maintence down. The headlights are still there, but kind of dangling. I was wondering of this car is worth 200 bucks. What are the normal prices on the parts I said that were damaged. Also, would it be worth it to part this thing out? I know the cx doesn't have much as far as aesthetics are concerned.

 

It's worth $200 for sure. ID buy the drivers side door for $100 After you completely part it out then sell the rest for scrap and get some more $$

If the front end is twisted to hell, no its not even worth $10 unless you want to buy it to strip it of parts to sell to people.

 

Two bills i'd pick it up, then throw a one piece front end and you got the fenders, hood, and bumper. After just replace the control arms and headlights.

u know what. i ****** h8 u. ive boon lookin forever for a eg with minor damage so i can buy if for the low low. but nooooo. everyone else i see finds them left and right but i guess out here in cali everyone wants the big dollars. so alls i have to say is that if u dont buy it i will boot u in the *******. u can part if out for well over a grand. and thats being conservative. good god the ill imagination of kids these days.

 

be careful of subframe damage, the LCAs are tough buggers and if they bent some it might have also bent the subframe some, although the bushings will give a teeny bit.....

Otherwise, its probably worth it just for parting out to people and making a couple bucks

They guy that was trying to sell it to me was not the owner, he was the guy who does the maintenance on it. He said that if the frame was even messed it all, it was just the very front edge that might have a little damage. I went and looked at it, but didn't inspect it too much. Maybe I'll pick it up then. I don't really feel like towing it, but oh well.
