Default DIY clutch install

im getting my exedy organic race clutch tomorrow and id like to install it my self but ive never done it before does anyone know wher i can look at some good instructions or can anyone give me some tips?

id like to do it this weekend so far ive done all the work on my car and 2 of my friends cars but this will be my first clutch install thanks

the tranny is heavy

when you get right down to it, it's just bolts. follow the manual, and be sure to read the clutch manufactorer's instructions too.

Man...I just read through c-racing's whole clutch tutorial. I hope it's not as scary as it looks. I don't see how you can do it without a hydrolic lift.

Go for The Deep South Record (using jack and jack stands and no shoes or shirt)

1 hour 45 min. for Complete tranny swap!

Add another 15-30 min for clutch f/w install!

Personal tips, To install tranny make sure motor is leaning down on pass. side (pully should be damn near touching side of frame) and make sure you install the T.O. bearing (opps)

Eric.. whom lifts up trannys himself under car on his back and lines them up with no help when installing one!

the tranny isnt that heavy its like 50 lbs i carried one with one hand down from an attic in my garage walking down a ladder with no hands im gonna have a friend lay onthe ground holding it up for me

yea its the winter here in chicago so i dont think ill try to beat the dirst souf record but i do hava heated garage so it wont be bad at all

thanks for the tip on reinstalling the tranny im sure it will help

You must be one big panda..... cuz I need two hands and a towel to wipe the sweat off my brow before I move that tranny anyplace!
