heard chilton sucks... looked for helms but couldnt find it at any online bookstore places... anybody got any insight?? thanks in advance..

chilton is ok, i have it but try www.haynes.com

 

chiltons and haynes will get you by, barely. helm's manual is the best by far, it's what the dealer's use. cost around 70 bucks though compared to the 12 bucks for haynes. i have a haynes but am looking for a helms. helminc.com

 

I bought a Haynes manual for my 1993 CX and I bought another one for my GSR motor, and I honestly I wish I would have saved the money and just bought a Helms. The Haynes manual is decent, but it is vague at some points. It also does not include repair instructions for such things as replacing a lower tie rod dust boot.

I just spent $72.93 today on the Bible of Honda/Acura, and I am sure it will pay off as soon as I use it once.

Moral of story: If you plan on gettnig serious with you Civic, then don't waste money on Haynes, go straight for the Helms.
