b20 swap in 94 gsr.. is it hard to do? what is need? how expensive is it?
just resleeve to a bigger bore.
if you want, u can use the CR-V crank.
other than that...gsr block/engine is way better in just about every way.

If i were to charge someone just to put the B20 motor in (only if it had the LS style intake manifold), i would charge around $400-450. If you wanted to pull the GSR motor, swap all the vtec stuff over, run the SS lines for the oil feed, it would be a bit more. You would need a new headgasket, plus all the labor associated with the conversion.
As for which block is better, CRV or GSR, the GSR is better. It has oil squirters for the sleeves, as well as a little bit stronger crank girdle. It covers 3 of the 5 points with 1 cap for added strength. The B20 uses 5 individual caps. However you can get a Z-10 crank girdle, as well as have a machine shop add the oil squirters. Then you can safely rev to 8500rpm's with the proper head modifications and ecu.

i don't think b20 setups are a waste at all.. they create shitloads of torque that you won't see in a 1.8

Why would you put a CRV crank in a GSR motor? CRV motors have 84mm bore vs 81mm, the crank in a CRV is identical to an LS FYI. I have a B20 vtec motor in my daily driven teg. I've put well over 25K miles in the last couple years and have had no problems what so ever. Did the swap myself with the help of a friend.

thank you for your input, I want to do b20 because its a lot cheaper then gsr swap. I know I know, I will not get the same power but I don't really need that. I need engine in my gsr now since it was stripped and b20 for around 1g for whole swap is not bad. I thought about doing b20/vtec but knowing a lot of people have problems with it I would rather do just straight b20 for now. What do I need to put b20 in my gsr... besides engine,tranny,ecu,harness.. is there anything else I would need? Can I reuse my old axles and shift linkage?
Think of a B20 motor like an LS motor. Its exactly the same except it has bigger bore, and the B20Z comes with a knock sensor. Just make sure your B20 motor doesn't have the giraffe style intake manifold or it wont fit in your car. If it does, pick up an LS manifold or Skunk2 because they bolt right up. Just get an LS trans/clutch/flywheel, change the driver mount post to the 94-01 integra one, use all 5 94-01 integra mounts/axles/linkage/engine harness, and the proper ecu and your all set.
