adversly effects cooling.

Get sleeved or stay under 8 psi.

I would never put a $100 "guard" in one of my motors.

Its a drag car, runs for about 5-10 minutes.

yeah im not crazy about blockguards from personal experience. i had a STR guard in my built teg, and it got so hot, that the top of my radiator exploded. that was only at 22 psi of boost sleeve it or do nothing. one thing guys... what is different in cooling as far as sleeves go and a blockguard?? they bot basically close the deck.

Block guards have tiny holes to let the coolant flow through, while sleeves have larger openings. Bad explaination. I'll post pics.

Block guards are a waste of time & $$$,they restrict cooling of the block.Bottom line is,cracks start from the INSIDE out,a block guard will do NOTHING to prevent that. They simply don't work.

Bad pics, but look at the size of the cooling passages around the sleeves.

I have a STR and i have run 13psi on street with no probs.

I love it and Jason(did the scc hatchback) also did my car and we seem to do good with them.

go for it,
Josh

P.S. my blockgaurd looks diff. then that one in the pic, mine has bigger holes!
