Default ITR crank pulley (timing belt ) and plate. Help (did search)

Hello,

In a B18C1 crank it has a pulley ( for the timing belt ) with a sensor, whatīs that sensor ?
Can the B18C1 crank it be used on a ITR but with the type R pulley ( timing belt )without sensor ?

Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong. The only time you need that sensor, is if you are running an ECU that is looking for it. Converting a 1997+ to a 1992-1995 P28 would eliminate the use for that sensor. Thus meaning you can remove it.
As for the C1 crank in the C5 block with the C5 pulley and no sensor, should be just fine, as long as the ECU you are using does not look for that sensor.
Anyone, correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct, if your using a OBD-1 program, you won't need the crank sensor.

Just make sure that the lower timing belt cover matches the oil pump. The 94-95 GSR lower cover will not fit a 96 up b series oil pump due to the mount points for the CKF.

I have a 98 ITR. Do you think i will not use the crank fluctuation sensor ?
The crank thatīs on the B18C6 block is diferente from the B18C1 crank.
Does USDM spec ITRīs need this sensor ?

I have a euro spec 98 R.
