Integra GS = Luxury Model Integra (Moonroof, AC, Leather, etc.)
Integra Type-R = Type-Race. Race Bred Integra.

Integra GS-R = In between the GS and the Type-R. It comes with the luxury of the GS but with a potent motor like the Type-R, but not quite.

Type-R has alot of goodies that the GS-R doesn't have.

^yep. there's all sorts of turbo combinations you can do, but i think the only supercharger manufacturers for integras are Jackson Racing (the good one) and Vortech (the shitty one)

people would be mad at you if you put a turbo on the type R. and gs-r isnt best choice either. want lower compression for turboed car, and those 2 have higher compression, so if you want turbo, get an LS, or less compressing pistons

Tons of people turbo ITR's. Nothing wrong with that.

Lots of tweaks in the R that makes is more performance oriented such as:
Single Port intake manifold vs Double intake mainifold in GS-R
Stronger Crank and lighter connecting rods
Higher compression at 10.6:1 vs 10.0:1
Tapered exaust header
Built in cold air intake and larger throttle body
Stonger Valvetrain to handle higer RPM
Hand ported by Honda Technicians at the factory

all resulting in: Higher redline in ITR 8400 vs 8000 in GSR and 195HP vs 170 HP

Thoses are the major engine diff but too many to mention all.

Add to that the suspension:
-No sunroof for stronger structural rigidity
-Stronger front strut tower brace
-Trunk brace
-22mm rear sway bar (14mm on GSR)
-Race-tuned shocks and springs with a slightly lower stance
-Bigger disc brakes, stronger calipers

Honda spent a long time balancing the body of the ITR. As a result, it is one of the best (if not the best) FF track cars ever made.

And for cosmetics, the ITR comes with:
-Color matched side skirts
-Front lip
-Functional rear wing
-"Carbon Fiber" look interior pieces
-Titanium shift ****
-Suede/Mesh seats with red stitching (the backing of the seats breathes better)

hope this helps.

Hi,

This may be a newbie question, but does the gsr have an lsd? I know the R does, but I am not sure about any other trim levels.

Thanks,
Dan

the only reason i'd want an LS or lower compression is so i could make LESS power. lower compression is only a safeguard against shxtty tuning, and lowers total output.

Navek: use the search function; there are many differences between the GSR and ITR.

Many people think that the main difference is the 195/170hp difference; that is completely wrong.

Navek,

Please do not post anymore..... spend the rest of your trial usership reading and learning.

This will help avoid the repetative questions that get asked here all the time.

I know you are new, and trying to learn, but one must walk before they can run.

Read, and read some more.

Thanks
