F20B Rod Specs
So I measured today and I see I was wrong in my inital measurements..
The complete F20B rod specs are with common engine matches:
Length: 145mm (5.709") - no engines
BE Bore: 48mm (1.809") - D16, B16A, B17A, B18A, B18B, B18C, B20
BE width: 23.75mm (0.935") - B16A, B17A, B18A, B18B, B20, F22, H22, H23
Pin Bore: 22mm (0.866") - F22, H22A, H23A
Pin Width: 23.875mm (0.940") - F22, H22A, H23A
If you read the rod at the top is like an H22a, and at the bottom it's like a B16a....analysis?
Point #1: Joel gets to use some B16A rod bearings!
Point #2: 1.65 Rod/Stroke!
Point #3: 2.1L of displacement with room to bore out to 2.2 again!

Nice info! In theory, if I did the h23vtec using the f20 rods it would bring the displacement down to 2.2 with an r/s of 1.58 (haven't done the math yet). Then bore it back out to 2.3 or more. Mmmmm, the possabilities.
Thanks for posting you findings!
Hold up! Are you using an h22? If so, will the f20 crank drop in with no mods???

I have an H23 block, but whatever H23/H22/F22/F20 they are all the same, the cranks are all interchangeable.

Doesn't the B16 and H22 have the same BE diameter? 1.890" I think? I guess that is without the bearings installed? I was looking at the specs on eagle rods, and they list the same BE for h22 and b16a rods.

B16 and H22a BE bore are way different. It's 1.890 vs. 2.008
My F20B crank and rods are for sale. Reason being it takes too many mods to go into a under 1998 block. H22a main bearing/journals got bigger in 1998, same as the F20B. In order to use it I would have had to use 98+ main caps and done a big line bore on the block to make it fit. Not worth it for the H22A1, good for the 98+ (not 1997) H22A4

Why not just trade your block for a 98+ block + cash to take up from the sleeving of your block. I'm sure someone would want an H23 that is already sleeved. That way you can continue your work. I've been waiting to see what comes of it.
