I need an h22a piston rod and i was wondering if the h22a1 piston rod was different?
I believe is a 93-96 h22a.

any other h22 has same rod?

Re: Piston Rod
The H22a and h22a1 (should) have the same rods. Just check to verify both are the same diameter on the inside. If you can, match up the casting #, but that will affect your bearing size more than anything.

Re: Piston Rod
I think the only difference is with the decks of the block. The connecting rods should be interchangeable. Like snobordboi said, check the diameters.

Re: Piston Rod
Oh okay yeah because i find the h22a1 rods for sale everywhere but i have no luck finding the h22a..except at the dealer. Thats the other reason I was having doubts also..cause of the bearings..if they are interchangeable i should be able to use the ones i bought for the h22a rods in the first place right?

Re: Piston Rod
Are your h22a rods floating or press fit wrist pins? If you're using Honda bearings, it will be impossible to know which ones you need until you get the rod & have a machine shop check it & the crank.

Re: Piston Rod
Never mind, just saw you said 93-96 h22a, which is press fit, so the h22a1 rods should work

Re: Piston Rod
FYI most aftermarket pistons are meant for floating rods, so you might have to get them bushed anyway.
