My Suspension: A month of driving now...here's my thoughts
First off, I need an alignment.
of course...
The car drives straight but my friend said from following me behind, my car is driving straight but at an angle now.
I'm waiting to get it alligned since the local tuner shop (they mostly do porsches) is going to corner ballance and allign my car.
Anyway, as far as the ride goes, it's sooo awesome. The car still has my stock f22 engine but is 5x funner to drive even with my crappy 195 series tires. The car hugs the turns tight and when the tires start to loose grip, the car doesn't understeer, instead it oversteers now and the back end starts to slide out...then i just give it more gas and it pulls right back.
My only complaint (and i know you guys all told me to watch out for it) is the squeeking. I thought I put enough grease on my bushings but obviously not. The front is starting to squeek and it's annoying. Oh well...maybe one of these days I'll get off my lazy butt and regrease them.
BTW, in case you don't remember here's what I got:
Tein SS Coilovers
Front/Rear Strut Bar
ST Rear Sway Bar (22mm)
Energy Suspension bushings in front
Prothane bushings in rear
New Tie Rod ends
New Rear Control Arms
New Ball Joints

Hey thats pretty cool. Where did you get your bushing installed? I'm looking to have them installed, for the front, but not with the outrageous prices the labor accts for. I was also thinking of getting the prothane bushings for the back too. Also, would you have gone KYB agx or just the Tiens?
Anyone know what type of grease should be used on the S/T sway bars? I used the stuff up that they send with the kit but now it sounds like a spooky door opening on dips. It's more of a creaking than a squeak especially with it being so cold! Thanks!
I did the install myself. It was a pain but I learned a lot and also didn't have to pay anyone.
Just make sure you get the old bushings pressed out at a shop and the new prothane ones pressed in at a shop. It will avoid a lot of agony and pain and time. I found NAPA to do it for me for ~$60 for pressing out the old ones and pressing in the rear ones for me. The front (energy suspension) are easy to press in. Just with your hands and greese they slide right in.
I believe the greese is a silicone based greese? I went to schucks and asked but they don't have it. I'm sure napa would carry it though...

I am a handling freak and want to do anything and everything possiable to make it handle like a champ. Anyway sounds good, since I got an air compressor for christmas I should be working on getting my bushings installed. Its something I am really looking forward too (taste the sarcasim). By the way how is your motor build coming? My motor is here some of the parts are here but its on hold due to funds at the moment.
basically what it does is have each corner weigh the same as the opposite corner of the car for example if the front right coner is 750 lbs and the front left corner is 735 then they will add 15lbs to make it the same as the right corner. same for the back
Correct me if I'm wrong (Obviously I don't know EVERYTHING involved in gettin it corner ballanced or I'd do it myself) but I thought corner ballancing does not add any weight. It's just shifting the weight of the car. By adjusting the height (or maybe even stiffness of shocks), you should be able to get the weight equal between the left front/rear right and right front/rear left. THe only weight I know of that they add is your own body weight to the driver's seat to simulate you being in there.

Yes, the height of the spring perch is adjusted to support more or less of the car's weight on that corner. Typically, the diagonal weights (ie. LF + RR = RF + LR) are set equal, as one can just about never get LF=RF and LR=RR, particularly if corner weighted with only a driver.
