Default GSR Skunk2 manifold/IACV issue

hey all

GSR is throwing a 14 code - which means unplugged or bad IACV sensor. i pulled and cleaned it out but its still giving me a rough idle at 14-1500rpm.

someone in another thread said you needed to use an LS IACV if you're running the Sk2 manifold... which seemed weird to me. common sense would dictate that you use a GSR IACV with the GSR SK2 manifold. am i wrong?

(btw - the car came with the SK2 manifold on it so i dont know what IACV is on the car currently)

yea, u could use it. skunk2 made the IM so you could fit the two type of iacv sensors.

Probrably the one that was under the stock intake mani. Its a black box with vacuum lines coming out of it.Do all the coolant lines seem kosher?Did this fool rewire anything for any odd reason?Or have something plugged wrong?Take another IAC...spray that sucker with brake cleaner...mount it on..plug it in.And see if that prob goes away.I had an iac go bad on me once.

thanks for the info everyone.... yeah i realized that you can use GSR or LS/ITR IACV with the sk2 manifold.

civicmikey - is brake cleaner safe on the IACV?

and when you say it went bad, do you mean that the whole thing went bad and you had to replace, or you just had to clean it out?

thanks
