Car vibrating when putting on brakes
I have a 1996 integra gsr and I just got new rotors and put new brake pads on but my car is still virbrating when I put the brakes on. The guys at the shop say that I might have to get new rotors but I think that they are just trying to get into my wallet. Any input?????
Thanks
Thanks
-If you feel a tugging while braking and it also wants to turn a certain way, its your front rotors.get new ones or take em off yourself and get em resurfaced at like a autostore for like $10 ea. also buy new pads. '
-If you just feel slight tugging while braking but car doesnt swave at all.. its probably just your back rotors. take em out yourself also! its easy to do..
team-integra.com and c-speedracing i think will have a diagram on how to do this.
-I dont let anyone touch my car, lol. Not only is it gonna cost you hella money to take it in, but i like to get the satifaction of knowing i did it all. Also this way you can charge buddies like you $$ to fix there cars cause theyre too stupid to learn how and do it themselves.

be sure that the lug nuts weren't tightened too much, that can cause some problems with the rotors. but like it was said before, the shaking from you using the brakes is prob warped rotors.

Be sure to check your wheel bearings when you have the wheel off. Torque the lugnuts to about 175 ft-lb. IF you have reaplaced everything having to do with braking, try unplugging the ABS unit and testing your brakes.

i had the same problem of vibrating when braking. does it only happen when your really slowing down and not on those high end braking? i tried replacing the rotor at first but that didnt work (autozone rotors are sufucient). most likely its your brake pads. mine had a fracture/crack in the middle and it was causing the vibrating since it was not having an even contact with the rotor.

EDIT: H22EK already noticed it

Get blanks if you are going to replace rotors.
I have drilled and slotted and beyond the "bling bling" as people would call it, you wont benefit from the extra money spent...
Its also said that blanks are more resistant to warping.
Good Luck to you.
Cheers

rotors on integras are very prone to warping, they lack a lot of metal. if you get drilled or slotted that is just less metal and quicker warping. if you have them turned they will warp faster.
if your car vibrates as you are braking, you deffinately have warped rotors.
annother person was saying that if your car pulls it is rotors, that is incorrect information, it is possible that it is rotors, but it is probable that it is something more serious like clogged brake line, frozen caliper, or something else of the ilk.
