how often should you get your A/C regased? the reason i ask is that today it was really hot and when i tried to turn on my a/c it wouldn't work...air would come out no probs but cold air wouldn't...thanks in advanced

 

I just removed mine last summer. Had it 10 years, never needed topped off. Likely you have a leak somewhere. Find it first. Also since R12 is so expensive, there are a few replacements that work just the same, but are ozone friendly.
No need to switch to R-134a anymore.
