Do you think it's vital that I get this fixed before I make a 1000 mile trip?

Yes, I know of the cam seal leak too

Oil has run down to the head gasket making it look as if oil is finding it's way out via broken head gasket... kinda discomforting...

I just bought the car yesterday. I am just cleaning it up. Does anyone know what this part is? Is it better off to replace this?
