sluggish lag STILL!!
Hey guys, what's up?? First off wanna wish everyone a happy new year!!!
I don't know if anyone remembers about my post from a month or so back about my lag. I have a 94 accord with h22a 5spd and I"m getting lag right upto VTEC. When VTEC kicks in, it moves. I was told to change the O2 sensor so I did. Unfortunately I'm still having the same problem. Anyone have any other clues as to what else I can do..

1. Make sure oil and plugs are OK.
2. Check distributor cap, make sure its tight and that it has not rotated. A new rotor, wires and plugs would not hurt.
3. Check ignition/valve timing, maybe rotate distributor a bit or if you have adjustable cam gears advance a bit. The idea here is to shift the power band so that you have some power down low.
4. Make sure that your injectors are clean and free flowing. (hard to check without removing)
Based on the limited amount of info, these are the least invasive things to check if you have not already checked them.

I had the same thing. Mine was only once the car was fully warmed up though.
It end up being that my ditributre was rotated a little retarded.
It was becuase we when did the timing, we just used the timing light to check the engine and it was good. I guess we didnt let the engine run long enough though.....
So give that a try, move the distributer all the way towards the firewall (Up and Back)
Let me know what happens
