found out why i blew up my engine
hey everyone just to let you know i posted why i busted and blew my engine.
I have a 92 honda accord lx with intake, exhaust, header and zex nitrous with the plugs and all. Now on the instructions of the kit they say put the injector nozzle
6 to 18 inches away from the throttlebody i pot it six inches away from the throttlebody. Did i do something wrong because it handled the 55 shot no problem but did i screw up because i boosted the shot to 65 and it being that close to the throttlebody. Next time i should put it to like near the air filter ? Any suggestions on where should i put the injector nozzle nexttime. Oh and heres what i blew on my engine it was the actual head it was warped and like 3 valves were cracked. Thats why i was recieving no compression what so ever. planin to get my v-tech soon on the real deal i should have just saved my ****** money and brought a h22A nuff said.

thats not why you blew your engine, because mine is about 6in from the throttle body too. you probably were just playing with it too much.
SPRAYIN92CX, on here used up about 3 bottles in 1 day and his did the same thing. you just cant do that.

The Reason why they want you to put the nozzle 6-18 inches away from the throttle body is because they want enought space for the nitrous to spread across all 4 clyinders. If you have it too close to the throttle body, all of the nitrous may be flowing in to 1 or two clyinders.
yeah but thats not true it was bad because it blew when i used it the first time.
When I did use the nitrous all i heard was the clickin sound that was my valves turnin to ****. I wonder why it caused itself to do that i did everything right and still cause out screwed. It pulled but at the same time felt like it had no power, then it like two seconds after it picked up and i took off. But as for me im just gonna get a j-speck and its a wrap for me no more nitrous naturally aspirated for me and thats it. yup h22 intake ,exahsut header and msd ignition thats it.

dude you have a 92 lx with im sure a million miles on the thing. what the hell did you expect? i mean honstly not to be a dick, but lets use our head alittle, you couldnt just wait to put the motor in there?

no, no, no, no, no, there has to be something else here.
i don't care how many miles it has on it, with good spark plugs and only a 55 shot, there should've been no problem.i mean, i know all cars respond different, but ive got enough experience in this to know.
what octane fuel were you using?
did you retard your timing?
are you SURE you did everything right?
oh, and Nick is right, do you have to swear so much?

well, it's not the nitrous that destroys anything. it's running lean or the motor not handling the power added.
you switched to a 65 shot which they recommend retarding the timing and running the highest octane you can (probably 93, that's premium most places). If you didn't do that then it was probably running lean or detonating.
a warped head is caused by excessive heat. check out everything on the engine, is the water pump still working? cause if it stopped and you kept runnign it, then it could have overheated nad tore the motor up.
if you didn't retard timing and run high octane you probably were detonating (the funny noises) which caused heat build up and the warped head and other broken stuff.
also, if something was weak, adding more power would bring out that weakness and advance it to an early death. don't blame nitrous.

no everything on it was running in perfect condition i guess maybe i ran lean.
On top of that i retarded the timing and all , I even used the correct plugs and high octane gas 93. I guess maybe it was just to weak to handle cause some people have the luck and some dont what can i say heh.

ya, it's a hit or miss. there can be bad parts or maybe something didn't fit right. it's hard telling.
and it always happens at the worst times too.
