Default my trani has problems!! HELP

well its got one big problem. it has no splines inside the trani. there gone and fallen into the bottom of the trani.

u guys ever heard of this? should i just get a new trani or try to see if it just kinda fell out? lol

is there a special bolt or something
its stiff as hell.

no it should just fall off, unless some doodoo head decided it needed to be sealed, which it doesn't...just make sure you've got all the bolts uunscrewed and if you have to try using a flathead screwdriver and pry it off gently

if you took all the bolts out on top , check underneath for more. There is another bolt that looks like its not connected to the tranny but it does connect into the tranny (near the rear mount bracket)

Some time its caked on, remember the input shaft is going into the engine so you'll have to pull outwards horizontally. One time I had one caked on so bad I had to pry it open with a flat head, it popped right off after the screwdriver fit in.

also try actuating the clutch. that can get the tranny to pop loose sometimes.

Either that one or the one above that someone posted the starter bolt that goes through the starter and tranny and into the block.

no man i got them all. even the one behind.

took starter out. its started to come off. i will try pushing the clutch in.

did u get the inspection plate bolts off and any bracket on the bottom inside?

ok this is driving me to insanity
i have checked and re checked every spot for a dam bolt. NO LUCK
it feels like its being held on the bottom cause the top part is coming off..

push up on the tranny, then pull it away from the block. it might be sagging some so the mainshaft is binding.

count the # of bolts you removed so we can see if you forgot anything. count the starter bolt, too.

got it!

front alignment pin was stuck like a mother ******..

lol my trani has stuff rattling around inside
time to open it up and see what the hell hapened.
