engine to tranny bolts!
I Just dropped the tranny on my freinds d16z6 to throw a new clutch in it. When i went to take out all the tranny bolts out one was like stuck in their so i finaly get it out and it seemed like it had bonded together with the threads. Im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem
It was wierd i mean the damn bolt wouldnt move at first after trying and trying i finally got it out and i mean the whole threads and everything came out. It was like the damn bolt was made into it lol. only thing i can think is that vibration or something some how caused it to fuse togther.
corrosion can cause it to gall, and as soon as it galls, you are cooked. Your buddy live in the rust belt? Did the car see a lot of salt?
If you can get a hammer at it, sometimes a wrap on the head before it sees a wrench, will break the stiction and let it come out without galling.
