leaky trans

Default leaky trans

i have gsr and my hondabond is not working as well as it should on the trans.. oil is starting to leak.. is there neway i can fix this w/out taking the tranny apart to replace hondabond or thats the only way 2 do it?

the only way to do it "correctly" is to take the Tranny apart. Sorry

No there is no way.

But next time to make sure it's sealed up nicely:

Drain fluids and make sure the inside of the case is DRY of oil. Then.. dab some paint thinner or a solution similar onto a piece of non shredding cloth and wipe off the surfaces. Wait a couple minutes, then apply the hondabond WITH putty knife. Don't put it on super thin, but don't put it on super thick.

Make sure to torque the bolts in an X pattern. 24 ft-lbs. It should come out the sides just a tiny bit.
