Actual weight of your car?
Hey guys, I have a 91 CRX HF with a B16, and I'm trying to find out the actual weight of it for the new G-Tech.
Does anyone know the actual weight of their car?
I'm not talking about curb weight either, I want to know the actual weight from a scale.
Thanks

we just had a thread about weight reduction where people listed their car's weight. try searching for that.
and i know the archives will have a TON of results.

This is a 90 HF (about 30lbs lighter than yours)... with a B16A (+80lbs), rollbar (+100lbs), completely gutted (-70lbs worth of junk), 32lb wheels/tyres, and other little stuff here and there.
Thanks for the reply Driven.
breaka_1_9, I did a search and only came up with curb weight results. I'll search again, and look for that thread.

well lets see..
http://www.hondaswap.com has the curb weight of stock vehicles....
if that wont help u.. ur best bet and accurate reading will be to drive on the highway til u find a truck weight station.. they are usually kewl enough to let u run real quick and tell u ur weight if there is no one on line... or u can go and find out if a track has a weight station wich its a problem if u live in the cold and they are closed....

Is the "curb weight", the actual weight of the vehicle in stock form without you in it?? I'm kinda confused on what Curb weight actually means.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You can also try around an industrial complex. Here there are a few places in the industrial complex that have scales and they are pretty cool about letting you weigh your car as long as they arent real busy.
Truck stops also sometimes have scales.

how are they going to know the weight of u... lol
just a dumb question but why would you weigh your car with tools and a bunch of other things? i just dont get it. why wouldnt you just take out the stuff thats not with the car if you wanna know how much it weighs it just doesnt make sense to waste the time to weigh your car with tools in it.

my 89 hf wieghed in at 1940 with half a tank of gas and my 20 or so pounds worth of tools I keep in it. I have a ls swap in it, So you could take that wieght add how much you way and maybe use that figure for you calculations. Also not gutted full interior just no a/c, who the hell needs a/c anyways.
I went on autotrader and looked up the specs for my car, an 85 CRX Si. It SAYS that it weighs 1700 lbs stock, but thats a little hard to believe. I might have to hit up one of these weigh stations...
Pat, 85 Si wieghs around 1840 from the factory in 85 Si form.... I have a gutted interior and removed AC but... I put 87 Si front and rear bumpers on it and the supports in those things easly add 30 lbs to my 85 Si, Im gonna weigh it soon, but I need to fix the rust 1st
I live near a Landfill and there are huge scales in the entrance I guess to estimate the volume of garbage coming in and out. There is also a quarry which I'm sure in there has a scale somewhere.
