Default gsr turbo

okay i have decided to build up my gsr. my plan is to keep the stock crank. eagle rods and j.e. pistons, stock cams, and head. do i need new valves and springs. what do i need to get for fuel management. for ecu i was thinking hondata but dont' know which one and do i still need a boost controller or not. i would like to piece together my turbo so i can get more bang for my buck. also my tranny feels fine right now am i okay with just putting a new clutch on it and which one should i get. i want to spend my money in the right places so i can go faster for cheaper. my car is going to be a sleeper no external mods. can someone give me a detailed break down of all the stuff i will need to get for my whole engine and a turbo that u think would be good for this.

first of all the search function will be your bestfriend..

what is your whp goal??

you will need bigger injectors, in tank fuel pump, regulator and rail

and you dont neccesarily have to build your head to go turbo.

Try ks-motorsports.com you can piece together your own turbo setup and have the option to add hondata to it. ITs an awesome site. If your planning on building the engine i know you don't want to stay at stock psi that the wastegate is set at so yes you will need a boost controller. I will tell you right now that building a turbo honda is not an inexpensive project. I run a ACT street and strip clutch i like it grabs really well. if you have anymore questions feel free to IM me.

EHh.. yes and no. If you don't plan on getting crazy with the boost and can live with moderate numbers, you'd be supprised how relativley inexpensive you can peice together a turbo, mani, WG, piping, larger injectors and an AFC for. But... then the boost monster shows it's ugly face and before you know it, you're getting greedy!!

aside from the usual guages, clutch, boost controller and exhaust that u buy along with the turbo kit there is more to a fast honda then just making hp. suspension and LSD are two very expensive items that u might want to get before u go turbo.

not saying these are nessecary items to have when going turbo i just know from experience how hard it is to gather an extra 1600$ for these items after u spend 5k to go turbo and ur trying to save up to build your motor and constantly spending money to have more hp etc. its wierd, once the hp bug bits you, you no longer need that new paint job or JL subwoofer anymore.
