Magnaflow universal mufflers? How do they compare to 'Jdm' universal mufflers?

I was debating on getting a Apexi N1 universal muffler, Hks, or a T1 axle back.
But, I saw this Magnaflow muffler which is like 1/4 of the cost of a 'Jdm' brand.
Would it be pretty much the same, any opinions of those who use Magnaflow mufflers? This is the one I am looking at.

I would venture to say that they are just as good or better than a universal racing medallion or n1. The main advantage to the magnaflows is that they offer a 2.5" in 2.5" out muffler, which is good for those of us looking for high hp numbers, and want something bigger than 2.25". SMSP on this board, and most other muffler shops will use a magnaflow muffler for custom exhaust on our cars. Get a 6" round with no tip, and have a sleeper tip welded on.
Edit - forgot to add that a magnaflow is going to cost you 80-$130 (not sure how much they charge for a tip), where as a apexi or tanabe is usually closer to $200. . .

yea Im guessing they would do just as good...but how do they sound? most universal mufflers sound like crap.....Ill stick with the N1 looks and sounds very good
i really wouldnt worry much about sound.
if this is a street car, no matter which exhaust/fart tip you have people are going to look at you with a
attitude as it sounds like your a fart can

I run a magnaflow universal muffler (2.5) with a magnaflow 22" resanator as well nice a quiet driving around and when I womp on it the pleasent sound of power and when painted flat black it is cop hassle free unless you get up in the 8400 range

Yeah, I have the same muffler and am definitely pleased with the sound, looks and performance
Really mellow sounding exhaust (2.5 inlet and outlet) and relatively quiet under normal driving.
