wire harnessing
i'm trying to install my new h/u. im looking at the wires that come from the car the guy before me decided to chop up. and theres no yellow with red stripe wire which is the +12 volt ignition wire. is that why i'm not getting any power to the h/u? where does that wire come from? need people guys. thanks
nah i don't. but what would be the point of having the tester if i dncn't evn find rrhe freakin wire lollz...what would i ber testing? rerxufse my typing cause i'm pretty drunhk riihgt now
pull out your multimeter and go to the ignition harness and run a new ignition (switched) wire from the ignition harness to the radio cavity. i can't remember what color it is...for some reason i want to say black/yellow. i just cant remember exactly. but meter it, fuse it, and then you are all set. this is a good way to do it if u cant find the wire in the radio cavity. lemme know if u need more insight on this topic....

You use the multimeter to measure voltage. A cheap one will work for your situation. Basically you would check the voltages on the wires with the ingnition off, then put the ignition switch to accesory and check again. The one that goes from nothing to +12 is your wire.
