how to improve radio reception
how can I get better reception? I checked the plug and its tight...I just dont get that good of reception...someone told me just to buy a fm booster?? anyone have any ideas???
Boosters MAY help, but how is your antenna? Also, the tuner is most important. For example Sony decks won't get some stations that Pioneer or Kenwood decks might. Also stock decks usually have best reception.
I have the pioneer deh-p7300
I dont know why but the reception kinda sucks...I get things but not the way it should be...antena is the stock one ona 98 civic

Well, Fuba's look kind of ricey, but work well. What I would do if I were you is get a Shakespeare (sp?) booster, and if that doesn't work, get a replacement antenna, I have seen them lose reception even though they look fine externally.
edit - I have had good luck w/ this one:

Well, first I would check all of the connections which you said you have done, to make sure that they are all tight. Next, I would try getting a new antenna and just plugging it into the radio first and see if there is any improvement. That will save the time of running the new antenna cable before to make sure that will solve the problem.
