ok heres what happened i was in my b16 crx stage 4 clutch i go to shift from 1st to 2nd and it felt like i missed a gear but i didnt it revved to 8,500 and it was in second but i hit the gas and it didnt go any where so i check everything out and the car shifts fine when on but wont move i can switch gears when car is on and it acts like there is no tranny and acting like there is no clutch but i can switch gears i checled the linkage and everything is fine i think its the clutxh i have no idea any help would be appreciated
I think you broke something in the tranny. It doesn't matter exactly what since you are going to have to drop it anyway. Just pay close attn to the clutch when it comes out.if your clutch completely let go it could give these symptoms. But like I said trans is coming out regardless of what broke.
i dont think its the axle cause shifting in it feels
weird now its easy but goes in each gear its hard to describe i think the clutch came off like someone said or the tranny is really messed up i dono.....

Have you looked? Its not that hard. Just look under the car . If either of the cv joints are sticking out a few inches, then just tap them back in with a hammer or something similar. The symptoms your describing definatly sound like thats the issue. It takes 5 min to fix the problem im talking about, where as it takes approx 3 hours to replace the tranny.
If car shifts gears easily and smooth, then your clutch has to be effective. If your cv joint popped out, then your not going to feel much clutch bite because the weight of your flywheel is the only resistance you will have ( which isnt much ). Making sure your cv joints are in properly, is a very easy thing to do. If its not that , then, it may be the transmission.

Yes I know what you mean by assuming anything.Thats what always gets me into trouble. Assuming someone else did anything at all. But then I am an optomistic person.
i still dont think its my axles cause it feels weird when i shify liek easy to go threw the gears doesnt feel liek it use to shift
i dunno if your tranny is cable but if it is and you had the cable adjusted too tight you could wear out the throwout bearing and the clutch...i believe there is suppose to be a quarter inch clearance between the two
I'm no expert, but it sounds a little like a broken shifter fork thingy inside the transmission. The shift on which it quit working was likely to be a pretty hard one, and could have broken that.
but check what the other people said, as those are much easier to fix.
