okae yesterday i was driving home and over a bump i noticed my amp would go out.. and over another bump it would turn back on..all the way home this happend for about 20 min. so i checked all the connections it all seemed fine but later on while i was driving i noticed a strange scent...smelled like sumthing was burning so, i pulled over and unplugged it...today my cuzn looked at my amp and said that it was my RCA cables that burned, so i replaced them...and nothing! i reinstalled all the wires over and over! and still nothing..theres a power light but no sound! all the cables are hooked up...
red= positive cable on battery
black = ground to nut on rear shock tower
R rca = R rca jack on HU
L rca= L rca jack on HU
all the speaker wires are hooked up and not touching each other...
did i fry my amp? would the light be on if i fried it?!?!? and my level is at about half way so i dont see why nothing werks... PLEASE HELP ME! IM GOING CRAZY! TIA!

what about the remote turn-on wire?

 

yah thats hooked up to my antenna i wouldnt see why that would affect it it would just leave the amp on...

 

if your RCA's were melted then your amp is toast. Your fuse should have blown or the protect should have shut the amp off though. Prolly dead!

 

yah i figured that was it...welps looks like im in need of a new amp...thanks alot guys for everything...
