Default Couple questions about getting 17's for my car...

Ive got neuspeed sports and I'm thinking about getting some 17x7's on 205/40/17. When i got my alignment done after the lowering my caster/camber was in specs. If I get those wheels and tires, will I need a camber kit? Also, I found a calculator that says if I get a 205/40/16 for every 1000 miles I go, I'll actually put 1044 miles on the odometer. is all of this info correct?

By the looks of that chart (sorry was too lazy to calculate myself) but it does make sense about the added mileage.

In regards to the camber kit. If you don't have one, get one. Having one now before putting your 17's on will save your rubber big time. I had 16's w/o camber kit and I ruined the rubber in 2 summers. Got my Ingalls camber kit before I put on my 17's and have perfect wear pattern.

I've got Neuspeed Race on KYB GR-2's w/o any complaints. Good luck.

yes..a camber kit would be a good investment. i tore up 17" tires after 3k. (the front ones at least).

you dont have to have a show car to get 17's. I'm not all concerned with wheel weight and 1/4 mile times. you cant have a drag car and a street car as the same thing.

my gsr came with 17's on it. the wheel was so big that it had to have little tiny tires on it so they got dented on everything. 17's arent worth it, 16's look nicer anyways.
