well i'm about to do a compression test tonight just so know what kind of condition the motor is in. What should my numbers be for a D16a6(90 civic si) it has about 168,000 miles.

any things i should do also? what fuse do i take out to prevent the fuel from injecting?

 

Great compression would be 185psi across the cylinders. Minimum around 130-135 with a max variation between the cylinders of 28psi. My motor with 120k on it put down 180/180/180/185.

well done. now put a turbo on with 30 psi and blow that sucker!

 

hahah dude that's exactly what i was thinking ever since yeaterday night....

before the test i really doubted my OLD 168,000 miles D16a6.. now i look at it didferenly. Pretty decent for that many miles aey!!

 

my car has always been 150 across...been that way before the turbo, and still is after months.

 

uhhh... what should the compression be on a Z6?????
