Default Turbo question

I was wondering ...my car has over 100,000 miles on it ...and it's 95 Prelude Si for those who can't read my username. The engine itself is running strong, but I am wondering if I should re-build some internals before I boost. A local car shop said I can boost w/ stock internals despite the fact that they have been through a lot of wear and tear. If I should replace some parts, what should they be? If I don't decide to replace internals ...is 6psi of boost too much for stock internals? Thanks in advance!

Get a compression and leak down test...if your rings aren't too worn and those look good, there is no reason you wouldn't be able to boost an easy 6 psi on that motor.....

do a compression test. you might want to reduild your motor or get a new one. but you should be fine for a while.

screw the compression test, do the cylinder leakdown test. they are FAR more accurate. other then that, replace your timing belt and do the routine maintanance to it and you should be fine.
