Default HID problems, one headlight lags behind :(

This has never happened before last night. When I turn on my headlights, the passenger side will come on, and then a few seconds later the driver side one will come on. Last night it only happened twice, and tonight it has happened several times, seemingly random, but now it's almost every time I turn on the lights this happens. It's always the driver side one that lags, and the length of time it waits to come on varies from 1 second to 5 or more seconds. It's getting pretty annoying, any ideas?

*edit* this is bizzare, I noticed that the left headlight will usually come on if i hit the steering wheel. wtf is up with this....

Bad ground, loose connector? OR maybe a worn switch

I doubt it's a bad ground because it just plugs into the stock headlight harness. I tried jiggling the connectors and it didn't seem to do anything.

Sonic, you said it's a bad connection on the Phillips end, are you talking about the adapter harness that comes w/ the Visualdynamics kit?

no thanks, took those out long before I sold the Camry... they were 9004 anyway, which made them even worse.

what gets me is why it would just suddenly start doing this last night, after I've had them in for nearly 4 weeks now.

try swapin balasts (swap sides) to see if the problem is there or in the wiring before the hid kit. also try to put in the bulbs in case its not even hid related.

and always carry the original bulbs incase one goes out at night. mine are always in the trunk.

just some ideas that came to mind. good luck

It happen once yestersday on McCulloch kit. When I turn on the light, it was starting up then it turn off for one second, then turn back on normally start up, it wasn't the flicking effect, just sudden black for one second. It was werid. I check the ballasts to be everything is connect. Afterward no problem. Doe that happen to you before? I had the kit for 6 days already. I wish I knew the answer to your problem but someone have answers for that. Hope there no more problem later tonight. Get the Honda-Tech fellows on car now and fix it!
