I am assuming that you are reffering to the T3/60-1 and the T3/T04E.

The 60-1 compressor can flow 60 lb/min worth of air while the largest T04E compreessor can flow 53 lb/min. More air equals more power. Although the 60-1 can flow more air, other variables will determine how effcient it is. More displacement, porting and polishing, larger valves, equal length manifold will all aid in the amount of air a motor can consume. Most people only see the actual amount of air that teh 60-1 compressor can flow, but what they do not realize is that it is far less efficent as a T04E .60 A/R 60 trim compressor. A 60-1 can reach lower 70% range in efficiency while the T04E .60 A/R 60 trim can get up into the 77%-78% efficiency range. Bigger doesn't necessarily mean better!

Actually according to my compressor maps the 60-1 flows 65 lbs/min and the largest to4e wheel 60 trim only flows 50 lbs/min. What maps do u have?
I am looking at the turbonetics and the innovative maps.

Right off the product bulletin that Garrett sends to all of their dealers.

i am looking at the same product bulletins and louis is 100% correct

the 60 trim to4e flows 53lbs/min
the 57 trim to4e flows 50lbs/min

the 60-1 wheel t04s flows 60lbs/min

This is exactly what i have noticed in the last few months. Heck, I bought the 60-1 in the summer because I thought the compressor maps looked good for my application. I am now going with the 60 trim compressor for my 2.0 gsr block due to the compressor maps being much better suited to the engine.

so which specs in this turbo would be suited for 2.0 liter fully built street engine? Or is this turbo meant for drag apps?

You are so right louis! I think some people dont realize this. It may flow more, but at a lower efficency even tho 7-8% isnt that much of a difference. But every bit helps.

did you know that no one has the real maps for the 60-1!!! we talked to the garret engineers for awhile and actually the man behind the 60-1 said that they never released the maps for this turbo. strange huh

Really!!? What the hell have i been looking at on the turbonetics site? Is that their own 60-1 chart that made up or what? Now i am very confused if i want to go with the 60 trim compressor if the 60-1 could possibly be a better fit towards my engine...
