Default Is it even worth it?

Hi everyone!

I have a 1986 CRX DX with a blown timing belt. I have not driven it or even started it since the belt broke (2 months ago). Since I know it's an interference engine, should I even waste my time fixing it or take the tax credit and donate it?? I have pulled the head and I don't see anything out of the ordinary... I would hate to fix it and have something else break. I love my little "gizmo", but I don't have that much $$ to spend....what to do?

what's the condition of the body? if it's good, then keep it as first gens are kinda hard to come by.. if it's not good.. well.. it'll have to go...

you're in Centreville, too? wow.. small world.. hahaa

they go to 87, then the newer body starts.

hey blackgrrl23, go for it, if it's in good shape, why not fix it up.
If I lived closer I'd do it for you

I'd say keep it, as joey said they are hard to come by
you could probably sell the shell if anything else goes wrong but if there's no damage done to the engine and the only thing that needs to be replaced is the belt, I'd say go for it
lemme know how it goes

yeah, keep it.. but, if you do sell it, let me know cause i really wanna first gen CRX..

as for years, first gen CRX, manufactured dates: 1983-1987
2nd gens: 1987-1992 (they still sold them side-by-side with the delsol in places like europe.)
