Tragic S2000 Death.....
about a week ago....my friend heui lay died....he just bought a silver s2000....it was sweet. He and his friends decided to race a yellow s2000 in north east philly. they were going a little over 80 mph, somehow they lost control, ran into a pole and the car somehow got ripped in half...yes ripped in half...the front end was over here....and the back end was somewhere else...my friend was not wearing a seatbelt and he flew out the window and landed in front of church steps...he died instantly. IF you care for other peoples lives and your own...please take it to the tracks. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt.
sorry to hear about that bro. people really should only take it to the tracks, it's not worth putting a life or more in danger. one street race can hurt thousands of people. again i am very saorry to hear about that.

thats sad, i cant drive a car without having the seatbelt on...i feel naked without it on...
But sorry to hear man
street racing kills. not only the participants but also innocent bystanders.
In other words, if it was just darwin @ work, i would have pity ... (i.e. at a sanctioned event).
but in this wreckless case, i have simply, no pity.
Charles Darwins theory does apply very closely to heui.
Better luck next time, and drive safely.

Sorry to hear that man. My condolenses...
I lost a friend earlier last year to a motorcycle accident. He was a racer... but ironically, his accident wasn't caused by racing.
Again, sorry.

I saw this story on channel 6 news (I live in trenton). I'm sorry for you and for your friends family and anyone else who was involved in the crash, but I feel no sympathy for your friend's poor decision. It was very cold that day and it was rush hour. What a bad time to race down the boulevard. Seeing these posts disgusts me. When are people going to learn that there's a time (when your at a track) and a place (the track) for this kind of stunt. Again, my condolences to his friends and to his family. Maybe his mistake will make someone learn to stop this crap.
i was going to ask if someone 'knew' that s2k owner. cause its a big deal to the vietnamese community of philly. my mom told me about it a week ago. i figured it should be ht.com. sorry to hear the lost. but also it wasn't smart racing on roosevelt blvd. (it was on the blvd right? i heard it was near C st??)
I'm sorry for your loss man. It was bad decision after bad decision, deciding to race on the street, to race on the street in an S2000, to do it in the cold, and then not to wear a sestbelt. A death is always tragic despite how stupid a decision was.
MOST of us end up at LEAST banging up our S2000's while we get a feel for how violently the car reacts when there is a loss of traction, A LOT OF US are lucky to not have any injuries and no damage a lil paint cant fix. I guess the only silver lining in this incident comes from the fact that a mother with a child in the car wasn't hit by this kid (I am assuming, I dont know the details). There is one less dangerous driver on the streets.
I know we say this time and time again, but keep it on the track. And whenever you get into a moving vehicle wear your seatbelt (it AMAZES me that ANYONE today still drives without one, its totally instinctive for me and I do it without thinking. If I ever leave it off I dont get 5 seconds down the road before I feel that something is wrong and figure out that its not on). Stay safe folks. Again, sorry for your loss.
