Holy Moly.

That grey car is.... everywhere.

---
Northeast Philadelphia - December 18, 2002 — The investigation continues into Wednesday's deadly accident along the Roosevelt Boulevard.
The accident took place at C Street in Northeast Philadelphia.

Police say the driver of a silver Honda sports car was showing off to the driver of a similar, yellow Honda sports car, and was going at speeds of up to 80 miles an hour when he hit a pole.

Both he and his passenger were ejected, the driver landing on the steps of St. Ambrose parish.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Hieu Lay from the 200 Block of Ashdale Street in Philadelphia, was killed.

The passenger is in critical condition.

The other car slammed into a tree, but the driver was not hurt.

Thats right where my old job was...

Just FYI, Roosevelt Blvd is one of the most dangerous roads in America. And 80mph really isnt too uncommon on that road....people FLY down that road.

The yellow one hit a tree:
Witnesses say the yellow sports car narrowly missed passengers at a bus stop before crashing into the tree.

That would really suck if he hit the people at the bus stop.

I saw that on the news. . . made me sick to my stomach. Stupid kids driving cars that they had handed to them from mommy and daddy and they can't even drive them. Kinda eerie how the silver driver flew out and landed on the steps of a church and died. . . Anyway. . . it's been said before, but see sig. . .

That ****** sucks. I feel for their families. RIP

street racing in philly is pretty big. there is one section I know of where its like 4 lanes wide, then a median, then like 3 more local lanes wide. Its near one of the airports. I myself am guilty of flying down that road

I've always said that God, Fate, Karma, Whatever has a twisted sense of humor.

Its always tragic when someone dies but at least this can serve as an example.

It's not a question of knowing HOW to drive a car, but knowing where to drive like that. Stupid kids with more bravado than brains making the streets unsafe for drivers and pedestrians alike. I'll never understand why these punks can't take it to the track and develop a healthy respect for the 2,000+ lbs of metal under their (supposed) control.
