Big Year Coming Up for Us This Year...
So its late on Christmas night, I'm bored and can't sleep. So I figured I'd tell you guys a little bit about whats coming up for me this year. It's all FI related
Personally, I'm quitting smoking Jan 1, and Im currently arranging my finances to get a house. I'll also be finishing my 2 year project, my Civic, and hopefully blow doors off with it, not blow it up
. I'm lacking wheel bearings, turbo, piping, and fittings, and I have the money for it all. The cars in the body shop currently, and will be done soon. We'll be clearing projects out of the shop in rapid fashion to finish this thing soon.
Shop wise, we have some major things in store for the new year. The main thing is a new location, which we are in the process of securing. Our major goal is one I can't really discuss, but it would be a major merging of business's, one that would set us apart from every other shop in the southeast. It would be a quantum leap from what I am doing now, so everyone pray for us for it to go through
Even still, if that does not go through, we have a back up location, double in size, and we would finally sink our dyno in ground. This would be accompanied by some state of the art tuning tools that, again, would set us apart from the competition by a long long ways. We also hope to expand our line of sales with a few new products, as well as expanding further into the Toyota, Ford, and Dodge markets.
I'm really excited at the prospect of what the new year has to bring for us. If all goes as planned, we'll at minimum double our work area, quadruple our professionalism, I'll have a 500hp street Civic, and a in ground dyno with state of the art tuning tools. I'll keep you guys updated as to how things go with all of these things
Happy New Year

John, that is great! Im more proud of you that you will quit smoking. I have always told you that your project would have been done last year if you would have quit back then..hehe

quadruple our professionalism
i think professionalism and customer service are 10x more important than price (and i believe that this next year will prove this fact and we will see alot of these "cheap parts sellers" (and kids) with no customer service/professionalism fade away
to you and a few other shops/members on this board that follow the same rule of thumb
Happy New Year

customer survey's have told us thats the only thing we are really missing is professionalism. I tend to be pretty down to earth, easy to talk to, and laid back. While we always strive to serve the customer, things like a pretty install bay and organized shelving isnt possible in our current location. We are hoping to address all of these things with our new location and possible partnership. Whatever the outcome, expect to hear our name, and perhaps a new name, a lot more next year.
Quitting smoking is hard. I've tried three times, made it three months each time, and failed. However, a new indoor smoking law here in FL going inactment Jan 1 makes it the perfect time to quit. Three of my friends are going to do so also, so it makes perfect sense to make the right move. I won't fail this time...

Hell yeah it will be a big year. I will hopefully finish my hybrid project by february and be coming to FL to get tuned by you. I seriously cannot wait. I am also gonna try a resolution, to try to get into a little better shape. Nothing too drastic, just do some running/jump rope a few times a week and do some old school excercises like pushup/situps.
Good luck on the quitting smoking.....I know it has to be hard, my mom has tried to quit a few times with no success. Have a safe and happy new year and good luck to all next season....if I dont run deep in the 11's I will be dissapointed.

Awesome, good luck with your expansion. I'm currently trying to expand this Auto Repair shop that I work at to start doing some basic performance upgrades. Good luck with quitting smoking too~ I've never smoked a cigarette in my life!

Sure, I'd love to be on Dale Mabry, but no one could afford my prices for that sort of location. If my major deal goes through though, I won't be difficult to find at all
Thanks for all the support guys, I'm busting at the seams waiting to get the ball rolling on this!!!!!
Good luck John! I hope to get down there when I visit D and Steven at Pacific.
If I have the car finished I might just tow it down and get some tuna-helper.
Man quitting smoking sucks.. its real tough. I just quit about 3 months ago but it seems everytime I got out to a bar or club I get twisted and smoke a cig.. blahh.. its a bad habit once you quit dont look back man!
Good luck!

Good luck on your expansion. I still think you should move to Cali
For you guys still smoking, you should see these guys at 65 years, now on oxygen. Everyone wishes they would have quit then. This goes for you too, Stan..They were always going to quit next year

What kind of dyno do you have, and what are your state of the art tuning tools?

Earl, the possibility is always there....Texas is a possibility. Not sure how far Florida can carry me, but we'll see...
