Default Hondata s200 troubles...

Ok,well I upgraded to the new s200 system from my stage 2B and well my 2b was tuned perferctlly I sent EVERYHITNG to hondata and well I got it back plugged it in and I have a CEL (I never had a check engine light) with the 2B and the box is flashing slowly like the prom is in the worng way. Well I've checked the socket and the rom a 100 times and both the rom and the socket are towards the engine wiring harness side of the ECU... Now the other thing it says it mihgt be is the wrong rom for my car... Could it be that the ship wasn't upgraded to the V3 system... Or would the car not run at all. The car hits boost fine, but the engine will not rev over about 4000 rpm... Please help me... Hondata? Experienced s200 users? Anynone that knows this answer...? Thanks in advance.

Sean C.

Hmm... according to Hondata, jumper J12 might need to be cut inside the ECU when use with the S200. The jumper should be in place when use with the older stage 2/3/4 systems. The symtoms you described sounds like that's the problem. However, you might want to contact Hondata to verify.

Mine is on too. Hondata said cutting the jumper might be required if you experience the problem. I didn't have any problems, so I left it on.

Although it too late now...

If your car was tuned properly why did you upgrade?

I can't think of a really good reason or gain for doing so...
Just curious.

The fix's they have fixed with the V3 and also the new G-sensor with my techedge I'll be able to pretty closely tune my car without the need of a dyno... So just the few extra's that's really all. Other than that, it was a present.
