I'm going stock now and i tried putting the stock springs using my muscles but i had no chance. Where can i use or borrow a spring compressor? Maybe a auto parts store lends them out or where?

 

i think autozone has them. pretty sure you can borrow it for free

 

u can get one at "all pro" for about 45 dallors. i know its kinda of topic but yea.

 

dont bother with a spring compressor. install the shock and spring together and put it in the fork and tighten the suspension bolts, but dont use the top nut. then jack up the suspension so the shock rod goes thru the top hat and all goes together. then you can compress the suspension and tighten the top nut and its all good. its pretty safe actually, safer than using a spring compressor in my opinion.

 

Yes they do have them, you will have to leave a deposit but you will get your money back when you return it. They have like any tool that you can imagine to use.

 

are you in dc/md/va area? if so, i have a set.. if not, autozone or advanced autoparts..

 

Autozone's spring compressor doesnt work...at least for me...it was made for american cars...and not japanese car.....i just kept it bolted in and removed it that way...like earlier said....all it does is shoot out fast....jk be careful....

 

harbor frieght has them for like 15 bucks... or so

 

you gotta rent them from kragen or wherevers ..
