blown motor
yes i used the zex kit 65 shot and i think my engine is blown i have a problem i didnt go into lean at all the problem is my car just died out and now it wont start.
it tries to start but wont turn over it tvr then putters out what could be wrong and how will i know if my engine is blown?

do a compression and leakdown test, if the number varies greatly from one cylinder to the next, you have a big problem. you most likely didn't have too much fuel and leaned out unfortunately
damn i cant believe that happened it was like at first i started of slow and gunned it
at about 3000rpm . then the car takes off at first a had enough fuel then the car in mid flight just sputtered and cut-off and now its hard to start i hear it crankin i hear one putter then it just shuts off how will you know if your engine is blow besides that? and plus it has a funny smell to it it smells like something burnt or fried?

hmmm...i'd say check for spark, if you have spark then it's not that. also check fuel. Sounds like you might have a fuel problem. check to see if you are getting proper fuel. Your fuel filter could be clogged causing not engouh fuel to start the car. it would just be a coincident that it happened while you were getting on it. your fuel pump could be dying or dead also. that would be the things i would check out. do'nt know how important vaccuum lines are with these engines but you could have a vaccum line off. I know the other day my CAI came loose from the manifold and it was letting air in that way and my car wouldn't start. i tightened it down and the car worked again.
Well its hard to say when an engine is "blown"...thats kinda a generic term...you can do so much different stuff to screw your motor, its kinda hard to start classin stuff differently. You can do like my friend did on nitrous and burn rings out and crack a piston, you can crack the block, you can spin a rod bearing, you can throw a valve, etc...The main thing to do is check compression...If compression comes back cool across all 4 cylinders, check your spark. check plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc...see to make sure you're getting spark in all 4 cylinders. next check fuel. Try cranking the car over and pull a spark plug out after that to see if it is wet....if its wet, you have fuel. One of them isn't right so run a couple tests and find out which was your weakest link...

how do you know if your engine is blown god forbid?
yes i used colder plugs and i retarded my timing by 2 degrees. my homeboys gonna come by and do a compressions test hopefully. he said it just may be a head gasket. it happened while i was sprayin i got to about 7000 rpm and i heard mad funny noises like somethin grindin and the car felt like it had no power. when i stopped it had more power. then soon after that it had like a funny smell when it sputtered out on me and the car just shut off. Im not sure but do you have to start the car up to do a compressions test or does some machine do it? ive got spark , i checked the fuel its working too from the banjo bolt above the fuelrail. im not sure what it could be . Its like this while i was juicin it was like cranklunk, cranklink.
for some odd reason it wont turn over and start.

the car doesn't have to be started, it just has to try and turn over. its a small device that replaces your spark plug, you try to turn the car over, it measures the amount of compression in the cylinder.
well that's a new story then. you didn't tell us about grinding noises and all that. for one, 7k i think is kinda high for these motors, that's halfway through the red, but anyways. grinding doesn't sound like a good thing, could have been tranny noises, not sure about how the noise sounded. could have been a tranny noise or an engine bearing going out. the weird burning smell could have been coolant burning if your head gasket went out. other than that i dont know what to tell ya. oh ya, to check on head gasket, coolant will be in teh oil, check the dipstick to see if it's milky, if you can't tell there you can always drain the oil and check that way, or if you radiator coolant is low.
