**MY HEATER barely blows?!?!****
so this morning i go out to my car and start and let it warm up for a few minutes while im inside getting ready for work and when i go out side i hop in my car and leave my driveway and as im driving i change my heater from defrost to my feet and out of the dash... and the thing is.. it blows relly weak! like when it is all the way up on recirc it usually blows really hard but today, when its all the way up, it feels like it used to when i had it on the first setting
i htought the blower wasnt working at all and it was just venting in hot air.. so i pulled the heater blower motor fuse and heater stopped... plugged it back in and the same ****... this is pissing me off cause its cold as F%$K around here ight now!
anyone else ever had this problem or heard of it?? you think the blower motor is bad??
thanks for any help you guys can give me!

I agree with it sounding like a resistor problem.
I'm pretty sure it's located on or at the motor. (passenger footwell, just above were the carpeting ends) I can't seem to find anything in my Haynes manual (which sucks) on exactly where it is, but it's inline between the heater unit and the motor.
That's about as specific as I can get...
Anyone else know for sure?

well actually i had somewhat the same problem in my old 88 Si....cept it blew nothing at all or barely nething at times....but a mechanic friend of mine ran the motor its own source...cause like it was bypassing the stock power and just not working....and its actually located behind the glove box....if you take your glove box down you can easily reach it
I think if anything it would be the actual blower motor and not the resistor my resistor was going bad and it wouldnt work on the 1 or 2 settings but worked fine in the other settings and also on recir. and fresh air settings. Also when my was going bad sometimes it wouldnt work at all and I would have to basically hit the bottom of the blower box with a flashlight and it would kick back on. You can see if it is the resistor it is located right behind the glove box (like said above) its a little black rectangular thing with a wire connector going into it. You can usually pick them up from the Honda dealer for like $30 or so bucks....Otherwise try running power leads directly to your blower motor and see if it works better or not.
It sounds like the resistor. Mine did it last year. Very easy to change if it is like mine.
1. remove glove box.
2. resistor is on top of the blower, remove the two screws and you should be able to tell by looking at it.
3. install new resitor
4. install glovebox.
5. enjoy the heat

Well, last week i changed the thermostat hoping that would remedy the problem.
It didn't remedy anything but atleast now i have a new thermostat!!
I guess i'll try opening the valve today after work.. wish me luck!!
If that doesn't work, i'll be asking about the heater core soon..
