Default Window problem - 94 EX

Hey guys, having a problem with the drivers side window on a 94 EX coupe. The window won't move up or down with the switch but the motor seems to be trying so i dont' think its electrical. My guess from looking at it is that the cable came loose from the regulator? The metal cable still moves back and forth with the switch but the other end isn't attached to anything. Can't seem to find where it should attach... any help? pictures? diagrams? TIA

wire part of the window regulator is snapped. Unfortunately, those things cannot be fixed.

Replace the whole PW door regulator mechanism: ~70-95 bucks new. $10-15 bucks + time from a junkyard (although who-knows how long it will last - good if yer getting rid of the car soon)

Haha, i'm with you on this one... maybe the resonator???

But anyhow, i don't think the cable snapped, on both ends it has a piece that is cylindrical and bigger than the rest of the cable that would keep the cable from pulling through a hole through which the cable WOULD slide. Wish i had pictures. I think one of the ends of the cable slipped out of where it should be.

Probably needs a new regulator.

do any of you guys understand at all what i'm saying about the cable? cuz in no way does it look like it snapped or broke.... the motor still turns with the switch and the cable moves but it looks like the cable's off track or fell outta place.... maybe something else is wrong, but the cable isn't snapped in two

Ive never seen a fucked up cable regulator that could be repaired. It's probably not going to hurt to try though. Let us know what happens.

I've tried fixing these door regulators. NOT WORTH THE TIME. It didn't work anyway....those wire sons-a-bitches are perfectly wound within the mechanism. Once there out, there is no way in hell to wind them perfectly again. Too...........much........................aggravat ion..............................save.......yourse lf........................

On my other car (94 Accord EX in Black) it (the window) goes up real fast, up and down in the rain. But other than when its raining, the ************ takes forever to get up to the top, I have to push it to the side and then it starts going up but only when i push the windows. Weird, eh?

Were you able to repair your old regulator or did you install a new one?

if it doesn't move, that mean the motor is jamm. take a hammer and hit it and if that dont work change the motor.

I installed a new one.... i'm gonna rip into the old one to see if i can fix it.... the cable has come loose from where the ends come together on the slide but i can't just put 'em back cuz there's some of the cable tangled inside the regulator itself it seems, so i'm gonna take that apart.

Looks straight forward in the manual. It does say to mark around the bolt heads that are the adjustable slots so that you put them back where they were - adjustment wise.
How much was the part? OEM or aftermarket?

My power windows also go and down kinda slow. It gets worse in the summer. Is there a difference between the regulator and the motor? Should I replace both?
