Default Supping up a 2k Accord F23a

Hey guys, I am hoping someone can help me out here, I am looking to improve the performance of my Accord, I have looked at H22a/Accord TypeR swaps and both are a little more than I want to spend. It looks as thogh many of you have already gone the route of I/H/E (intake, header, exhaust), Cold air etc. I read through the various mags such as importtuner/hondatuning/sportcompact etc and I find most of the posted numbers hard to belive. Starting with base numbers of say 150hp/153lb-ft what gains should I see. I dont mind droping 1500 bones or so if I can expect some decent gains but I have yet to meet anyone that has tunned their accord. Any input you can give me would be great.

I had debated that as my friend is a ZEX installer but I would rather stick with bolt on parts for now and see where that gets me. Besides with my luck I would blow my self up smoking.

LOL zex is foolproof and it will shut itself off before anything happen to your baby..
colder plugs and some other stuff are good investment if you going to get a dry kit.
not bad 350bucks for 65whp.
but just keep in mind..once you on the bottle anymore driving without it sucks major ballz.. and yes..refilling could be another problem.

Correct, that is why I would like to do all the easy stuff first (bolt on). I just want some feed back from the filed. I have not seen two many posted numbers on HP/Gains on the 6th Gen accords, I dont want to drop 300 bucks on a header for 2hp that would be stupid, I might as well just put in some syntec and get the same gains.

are you being serious? I have heard of propane injection but I don't know anything about it.

propane injection is for deisels...its their form of nitrous. Zex kit isn't all that fool proof...it just requires 2 seperate triggers to activate...first, it has a switch to arm the system, and it starts spraying when its at WOT. it wont stop spraying unless they take their foot outta the floorboard. a friend of mine had a Miata and was runnin a 50 shot and cracked his #4 piston in half and blew his rings. Nitrous is the quickest form of HP only when you know how to use it right...read up first before squeezing.

well, don't expect mirracles out of I/H/E....yes it will free up some power, but it's not gonna make you fast by any means....and earlier you talked of 150 hp and all that....well i hope you realize that is what honda rates the power at to the crank....so you are getting roughly 20% less power to the wheels than the rating says....with I/H/E you may be able to get your power back up and close to the stock ratings, and with some proper tuning of all the variables you should see some decent power....but again, don't expect mirracles....
