Default "theoldone.com"s fuel pressure mod...

I did this mod, and it worked, got my fuel pressure down to 40 psi. But no, it's hard to start sometimes. Am I correct in assuming that it is because the regulator cannot hold the pressure, because of the hole, after the car sits for a while? Or does anyone else have this problem?

No people just don't like to be proven wrong. They're not a scam. Bad threads inccur because people are unwilling to except the truth. Evolution is 2 steps forward 1 1/2 back. People used to say the earth was flat even after Columbus proved them wrong. When idiots are amuck the truth is always twisted. Trust me Larry knows what he's talking about even though it does seem like crazy-man bantering.
If you have problems starting you should turn the key on and let the fuel pressure build up before starting it.

It work's to lower the pressure while the engine is running. Once the engine turns off, some of the gas drains out of the rail and pressure drops. I usually turn the key on and off a couple of times (don't crank the engine over).

Yep you will need to let the fuel pressure build back up after the car has sat for a short period of time. The fuel drains out of the fuel rail.......

I just did this recently, but haven't had any problems starting the car. Like the others have said, turn the key, the check engine light will come on while the fuel pump primes. When the check engine light goes out, crank it over. My B&M fuel pressure gauge is on its way, so I have no idea where my pressure is though. I've heard of people having problems with the AEM FPR, so I have no idea what to do if this doesn't hold up. Aeromotive?

i did this mod and hated how my car started, even with letting the pump build pressure, it cant be good for a starter to crank like that all the time. I went back to stck with a B&M chop top and lowered the pressure enough that way.
