JDM CRX climate control
Has anyone here ever installed the jdm crx/civic 88-91 climate control panel? I've heard its pretty hard but was trying to see if any of you guys knew or know someone who hjas done it or where I could find info on it. thanks...
I've heard that it doesn't work at all. you can fit it into the dash but the wiring doesn't work for some reason, I heard you can only put it in for looks, but it won't function.....someone can correct me if I'm wrong, thats just what I've heard...
why don't you use crx climate control or swap the whole dash! it's easier to install the climate onthe crx!
what's wrong with the stock one and what difference is the JDM one?
The JDM one is a climate control unit, meaning I think you need the control box along with the sensors to make it work, instructions would be good too. Looks difficult to do, but climate control would be sweet
its basically plug and play in a crx.. but with a civic you have to get all crx dash wiring and all the relays and electronic vent switchers.. its a pain in the *** for the civic
The main problem is that... The JDM climate control system comes from RHD cars...
So you have to invert a lot of things to have it working properly on a LHD CRX...
That's what I'm doing at the moment... Starting from a manual AC... I have all the JDM hardware... But trying to wire and plug everything to make it work !!!!!
I've already converted a JDM RHD CRX power steering to my LHD B16 EDM CRX !!!!
And it does work !!!!!!!!!!!
So... Next step... The auto AC... Won't be easy... But I do not give-up easily !!!
If anyone has already achieved this crazy job... any help would be appreciated !!!!

As long as you have all the components, wiring and 3 temp sensors, and extending a couple wires it shouldn't be too hard. I know there was a Nemertea on here that was working on translating the instructions into english
could you use the jdm climate control unit and just not wire up the "auto" feature? i dont even have ac on my car with the b series swap. i just need it on warm and want to be able to adjust the zoning. like the defrost and feet type stuff.
The crx lacks the wiring of the auto temp sensor, the heater control and solenoids to adjust it, as well as the wiring. Don't spread miss info
The Civic needs even more wiring and mics electronics
right i do understand this. do you know of a "how to" thread tho. i don't want to utilize all of the features of the climate control. but just want to see what it entails. i have search and found nothing but threads like this. which are full of people saying it is to much work and that it isn't plug and play
Search man...in this case i did for you, took 2 mins....
