a friend of mine is doing ITR internals in his gsr. he also is doing an ITR head. would it be better to chip his ecu or get another? he has an 0bd1 gsr. i believe its a 94

 

Dont chip the ecu. The only right way to chip your ecu is with hondata and a dyno. Dont waste you money on a preprogramed computer.

 

it wont be modded anymore than this. he's just doing a daily driver rebuild. he does however, want to use his extended revving capabilities.

 

I would also say hondata is the way to go , but since you said "cheapest," then that would be rechipping.

 

thanks alot guys. i'm sure we'll probably just try rechipping and see how that goes. depends on how crazy we get with cams. they'll probably just be CTR, but if we get skunk2 stage 2's then it'll be hondata
