Supercharger on a b20 block?
Hey everyone,
I don't know if this is in the right forum, but I have a b20 that I have been building up. The build is:
10.5 JE pistons
LS shotpeened rods
ITR block girdle mod
fully balanced block
ARP headbolts
crower 403 cams
crower valvetrain
port and polish LS head
Now this engine will be making around 165-175whp and about 155wtq and was suppose to go into my 4dr g2 integra, but have recently bought a g3 GSR with no motor so the b20 will be going in the g3. But then I have always wanted a supercharger but the JRSC would not fit into a g2 engine bay.
So would it be safe to put a JRSC on the b20b block ? I know b20's aren't the best to be boosted, but 6psi should be fine right? I don't want to raise the psi any higher than that. What do you guys think and is it worth it? I probably will be getting about 250whp by then if I'm lucky.

that looks like a good setup for turbo. dont charge it... youll be wasting your money. if you turbo your b20... it will definitely kick ***.
Well I don't want to turbo, becuase never liked the turbo lag part of it. And I always liked superchargers. If I did turbo I would want to resleeve the block becuase the b20's usually always crack in the same spot when they are turbo'd. And the supercharger is pretty much bolt on, which I like, and the power is there continuous, also a plus.
Do you guys think that the b20 would b able to withstand the 6psi and still b a daily driver?

crvtex not legal in CA. Looked at that option, but just don't want to risk it. The JRSC is legal too, which makes things easier @ the smog shop.
