ITR Rear Rotors and Front pads.. what other H/A uses the same parts...?
Need to replace f/r rotors and f/r pads this weekend on a 97R. Already have the autozeon front rotors and some honda rear pads but Acura dealerships in this area claim to carry no ITR parts.. even the front pads
so what other REAR rotors and FRONT pads will fit (edit: OEM of course)?
97+ prelude rear rotors perhaps? anyone try it?
and what year accord wagon are the front pads also used on?
and yes, I tried a search but didn't find any results. if you do, tell me what you searched for
thanks

Beware when using pads and rotors from another vehicle. While the shape and size may be the same, so they will fit in the caliper okay, it's possible that the composition may be different. I know folks with NSXs who found that certain model Legend pads fit the NSX, then found out the hard way that they have a different composition that doesn't stand up when driven hard.
'91-96 NSX front pads are the same as ITR front pads and are just as good. Most dealers should have them in stock.

The owner uses the car on the street and never drives it hard. The owner has a IT car for that purpose so we weren't too concerend about how well the pads will hold up

-Dave, who goes to call acura to see how much NSX pads are..

you could always go with Axxis Ultimates from Cobalt (they sell rotors too now).
Front pads from Prelude, CRV, NSX, Accord (not sure which ones) and I'm 90% sure of Legend. For the rear rotors I used Accord V6. Who cares for the rear anyway...
edit: I'm not so sure on front rotors or rear pads. I think rear pads are almost unique. Front rotors might be okay from the CRV.

The 97+ Preludes shares the same front and rear brakes with the Type-R.
But the Rears, I don't think so, at least not unless the SH and Base Model have different Offsets on their rotors. About 7 or 8 months ago Acura was B/O on Rear ITR Rotors and I ordered a set of Prelude Rotors, since someone else also said they were the same, and they ended up being different. I can't remember if I got the Base or SH, I think it was SH, but I still have the Rotors in their Boxes and have the part #'s.
I'll go match them up and also see of the SH and Base are the same #
42510-S30-A00 is the part # I have and Test Fitted, Checked with Honda and it is the same Part # for the Base and SH for 97-01 Preludes.
It Does Not Fit.
PS If anyone with a 97-01 Prelude is looking for a set of OEM Rear Rotors for $100 pair IM me
